What We Believe

Concordia Lutheran Church is a member congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.  We are a conservative Lutheran Church that holds to the unaltered Augsburg Confession and the belief that the Sixy Six Cononical Books of the Bible are the inspired, inherrent Word of God, which is the only source and norm of doctrine.  We adhere to the unaltered Augsburg Confession and the other documents of the Book of Concord of 1580 because they accurately explain the doctines of Scripture.  For further information, please see www.lcms.org or www.CIDLCMS.org.  You may also contact the church office with questions, cares or concerns at 217-529-3307 or church@concordiaspfld.org.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

We, the members of Concordia Lutheran Church, through the power of the Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, are committed to the great commission of 'making disciples' at home, in the community, and throughout the world (Matt. 28:19-20) seeking to bring others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and sustain them in their faith through God's Word and sacrament. By the power of the gospel, and with joy in our hearts and praise and thanksgiving on our lips, we seek to be God's Witnesses through speaking His Word, sharing His love and equipping the saints for a life of service in Him. To the glory of God, we dedicate ourselves, both individually and as a congregation, to grow in God's Word, partake in the means of Grace, encourage each other in our faith, share in God's love, live a life or prayer and bring others into the kingdom of God.
